Job Introduction

We have an exciting new role to join our exciting HCRG Care Group Business Unit here in North Kent Workforce.  As our Bank Temporary Staffing Engagement Co-ordinator, you will be a valued member of our North Kent Business Unit. Working with our Senior Leadership and clinical team colleagues you will ensure that our bank workforce is optimised, and the overall agency dependency is reduced. You will liaise with colleagues who already work on our bank, whilst building our external bank workforce in ensuring available shifts are covered in a timely manner.  You will use your strong communication skills to liaise with our developed bank workforce as shifts become available on the e-Rostering system to increase the uptake of bank shifts. 

Your primary base will be at Gravesham Community Hospital, although some home working will be supported. Service operates Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30. Full or part time position with flexibility regarding working hours considered for the suitable candidate. Some travel may be required across the BU’s sites.

Main Responsibility

  • You will support the Business Unit by Working in partnership with the Operational Service Managers and Clinical Team Leads across the BU to ensure that all services have the required staff by utilising their local staff bank pools.
  • You will proactively promote and increase engagement with the bank workforce, including communications and driving increased us of the Bank app.
  • You will liaise with the Business Unit Operational Service Team to support their ongoing utilisation of the e-rostering system and proactively ensure they are using the bank workforce as an alternative to agency staff
  • You will review and make recommendations to improve current service delivery and development to ensure maximum bank bookings
  • You will Ensure that there is an efficient Bank recruitment and utilisation processes in place in line with best practice to ensure it operates in a responsive, effective, and efficient manner.
  • You will act as the eRostering Lead for the BU Bank Staffing service, working with the BU colleagues to provide effective communication and support.
  • You will support the BU Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and eRostering Team with the weekly updates of system usage and engagement data across the business portfolio, including identifying areas where system maintenance is required and ensuring that workforce data is accurate and current. Supporting the BU where needed, whilst ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail along with supporting end users with queries and system support.
  • Training and Development - You will work with the training and development team to ensure that all bank colleagues hold the skills required for cross team cover where appropriate and fall in line with the compliance requirements

The Ideal Candidate

Essential Criteria:

  • A proven track record of being proactive, confident, and self-motivated
  • Experience of working autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Previous experience and the use of HealthRoster and Employee Online from a system administration and implementation perspective.
  • You will be proficient in the usage of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook etc).
  • Experience of extracting and compiling system data for the use in reports.
  • The ability to support the Business Units Senior Team and eRostering Team with identified gaps in process and delivering solutions.
  • Ability to Engage and network with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to present and hold group sessions or workshops if required either remotely or face to face
