Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Tissue Viability Nurse to join us in delivering Tissue Viability Services across Northeast Hants, Farnham and Surrey Heath.

You will join our small, supportive and welcoming team of fellow Tissue Viability Nurses based at Farnham Hospital providing support to Community nurses, primary care and care homes. 

As a Tissue Viability Nurse you will assess and interpret the clinical condition of patients to devise person centred care plans and provide highly specialised clinical advice and support to staff and patients, relatives and carers.

This is a full-time opportunity working 37.5 hours across the week with no requirement for weekend or bank holiday working.

Main Responsibility

As a Band 7 Tissue Viability Nurse you will:

  • Assess and interpret the clinical condition of patients to devise person centred care plans
  • Be responsible and accountable for ensuring caseload assessments are reviewed according to clinical need
  • Act as a role model to provide effective leadership, ensuring competent, safe practice.
  • Undertake the role of educator in clinical practice across defined areas of expertise
  • Provide highly specialised clinical advice and support to staff and patients, relatives and carers
  • Support the creation of a learning/development environment for team members and students

The Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • First Level Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in relevant field
  • Relevant Wound care and Leg Ulcer care experience
  • Evidence of relevant post registration specialist continuing professional development
  • Full Driving licence and access to Car
