Therapy Assistant

Job Introduction

As a Therapy Assistant, you will actively work as a member of the as a member of the multi-professional team at Wigmore Lane Health Centre Luton MSK service. You will provide a high quality of care to the patient and participate in patient’s individual rehabilitation / programmes of care.

This is a full-time opportunity working 37.5 hours across the week.

The service operates between 8:00am – 6:30pm Monday to Friday with no requirement for weekend or bank holiday work. There will be a degree of flexibility on your working patterns which can be discussed further at interview stage.

Main Responsibility

  • Undertake prescribed Therapy with the patient independently
  • To lead Group therapy programme and as well as remedial group programme.
  • Provide appropriate professional with up-to-date accurate information regarding patient’s progress.
  • To undertake individual rehabilitation programmes of care with the patient.
  • Provide holistic care respecting patient’s rights and individuality

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has experience working independantly and providing professional information, you'll also have experience with leading a team and dealing with the public in a health and care setting.

You will be a great communicator with the ability to prioritise your own workload.

It would be desirable if you already possess a degree in Physiotherapy or Sports Therapy and looking for more experience or have previous experience as a Therapy Assistant or Rehabilitation Assistant.
