We are looking for a Band 4 Children’s Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive West Essex Integrated Therapies Team.  You will work with children and their carers in clinic, the child’s home, early year’s settings and schools to help us continue to change things for the better.

Main Responsibility

As part of our integrated Children’s Therapy Team in West Essex you’ll join our award winning Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service, where we are trail blazing a new operating model that is taking the healthcare market by storm – we are presenting to government and other Local Authorities around the country on our integrated partnership model with Barnardo’s – a model that drives efficiencies so we can put more people in our services, spending time with children and families to improve health outcomes in the local community. We have developed our own unique approach where our children and young people are at the centre of everything we do.

As a Children’s Therapy Assistant Practitioner, you will work as part of a team with our Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to provide support for children with diverse needs to develop their functional, independence skills and reach their treatment goals. You will care for service users and their families in the way that you believe is best, delivering our high service standards, sharing best practice and actively improving the way we work.

 

The Ideal Candidate

You will have experience of working with children and young people in the community. You will have strong communication and organisation skills and a flexible approach will ensure you deliver positive experiences to service users at every stage of their healthcare journey.
