Senior Service Designer

Job Introduction

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Service Designer to work full time on a permanent basis within our Growth team in a unique role focused on designing new service models and business solutions that meet the needs of our service users and Commissioners.

You will be expected to work Monday – Friday 9-5 and be required to work flexibly to accommodate business priorities and deadlines.

Main Responsibility

The candidate will be responsible for responding to new opportunities such as public sector tenders or commissioner proposals. The candidate will be expected to:

  • Take specifications, Needs Assessments, and other available data to design a service solution, engaging subject matter experts as required. Solutions are winning, replicable, usable, operationally achievable, and financially viable.
  • Ensure design makes best use of all resources, utilising workforce redesign (e.g., capacity versus demand modelling) and digital solutions to enable this.
  • Maintain strong internal and external relationships with stakeholders.

You will be also working within a multidisciplinary team working closely with Bid Leads, Market Developers and Commercial Finance Partners as well as head of other departments such as IT, People and Operations.

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can work efficiently and effectively to design and propose to senior leaders their plans for new opportunities, they should have creative vision for what this looks like as well as whether the proposal will work in practise.
