If you have answered yes you will want to consider our exciting band 7 advanced nurse practitioner role within out integrated CASH service serving the population of Cheshire West & Chester.

We are looking to recruit a full time Band 7 Integrated Nurse in Contraception & Sexual Health. The successful candidate will be employed by HCRG Care Group; supporting the delivery of high quality Sexual Health services across Cheshire West and Chester.

Main Responsibility

As a Senior Nurse Practitioner / ANP / Team Leader you will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team where you will use your experience to practice autonomously and flexibly.  Practitioners should have significant experience in contraception and sexual health. Working within the nursing team, you will work with the nurse manager to share the team leading responsibilities, and clinical lead to deliver robust clinical pathways. 

You will be keen to have a key role in developing independent nursing practice. This will include line management, development and mentoring of staff and students. In return you will join a team of friendly skilled & experienced Doctors, Nurses, and admin staff responsible for delivering a high standard of care to patients.

It is essential that the post holder has a recognised qualification and experience in the provision of contraception and qualification/experience in sexual health (GU) care. The successful applicant should be motivated, enthusiastic and possess excellent interpersonal, communication and proven leadership skills along with the ability to work with a diverse range of clients in innovative sexual health settings. As this is a community-based service an ability to travel between community sites across Cheshire West and Chester will be essential.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have an Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification or equivalent (or working towards), NMC registered and hold a prescribing qualification.

In addition we are looking for candidates who have experience of working autonomously in a senior role, able to demonstrate developing and influencing skills and able to problem solve advanced clinical problems. 

In this role you will be line managing nurses and HCAs, be part of our local senior management team and cover for when the Nurse Manager is on leave. 

You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
