As Senior Community Health Navigator, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting adults across BSW (BaNES, Swindon & Wiltshire) by leading and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Community Health Navigator and Administration team. You’ll provide clear, supportive line management, overseeing workload allocation, performance, absence management, one‑to‑ones, appraisals and training - helping the team deliver high‑quality, timely support.

You’ll work closely with clients and stakeholders, handling sensitive and confidential information with care, empathy and professionalism, and knowing when to collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team. What You'll Be Doing
- Oversee the day‑to‑day management of the Adult Administrator and Community Health Navigator SPA workforce, ensuring effective rotas are in place and adapted as needed to maintain full service cover
- Work in line with guidelines and protocols, collaborating closely with clinical colleagues to support safe and effective service delivery
- Develop, review and maintain robust processes for the adult administration function to support operational efficiency
- Lead on the recruitment of administration staff, including shortlisting, interviewing, induction and ongoing training
- Maintain oversight of HealthRoster, ensuring accurate completion and booking of bank shifts where required
- Manage telephony performance, referral management and scheduling of clinical appointments on SystmOne, ensuring patients are seen within contracted waiting times
- Provide direct line management to the administration team in line with HR policies, including one‑to‑ones, appraisals, performance management and staff development
- Ensure clear, timely communication across the administration team and maintain strong working relationships with clinicians and managers
- Contribute to BSW Adult SPA team meetings, Datix investigations and the embedding of learning into team processes
- Prepare and summarise data to support reporting and service improvement
- Act as a friendly, professional first point of contact for service users, handling sensitive and confidential information with empathy and discretion
- Work flexibly and provide cover for colleagues when required, undertaking additional duties as delegated by the line manager

Essential Criteria
- GCSE (A–C) or equivalent in Maths and English
- Supervisory or line management qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. NVQ Level 4)
- At least 2 years’ administrative experience, including direct line management
- Strong IT skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and accurate keyboard skills
- Excellent communication, organisation and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise in a busy environment
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, using discretion and maintaining confidentiality
Desirable Criteria
- Experience within adult health or social care
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical systems/databases
- Experience of minute taking and wider office procedures
