Senior Audiologist Combined Role – Band 6 & 7

Job Introduction

The adult audiology and hearing therapy service in Bath has a vacancy for an experienced Band 6 to take on Band 7 management duties while keeping an interesting clinical role.

You will work 30 hours a week in a Band 6 role and then 7.5 Hours a week in a Band 7 role.

The department has a particular focus on  rehabilitation with its patients and are passionate about delivering a high level of service. You will also be working alongside hearing therapists and assistant audiologists

Main Responsibility

Our NHS adult audiology service delivers high standards of hearing aid care with a strong focus on rehabilitation. We will allow you sufficient time to talk to your patients as well as complete your clinical tasks.

Our service is primarily hearing aid rehabilitation but includes completing full diagnostic clinics and reports for the ENT service and the tinnitus clinic, joint working with the hearing therapists, supporting volunteer clinics and supervising students when needed.

The Ideal Candidate

Ideally you will have or be about to complete an STP MSc. You will have a BSc or BAAT qualifications in Audiology and be fully registered with the RCCP and/or HCPC.

As a Senior Audiologist, you’ll be part of our valued team at The Audiology & Hearing Therapy Department, St Martin’s Hospital, Bath with peripheral clinics in Keynsham and Paulton (outskirts of Bristol). This role includes 30 Hours in a Band 6 position and 7.5 Hours in a Band 7 position.
