The Job advert is open to band 5 and 6 podiatrist as we look to find the right person to complement our team. We are a small team of 8 podiatrist and are looking for someone who is enthusiastic in all areas of podiatry. We have had good experience in developing band 5 podiatrists and this would be an excellent job for a newly qualified podiatrist or someone looking to move to an NHS case load. With us you can work under the guidance of experienced podiatrists and gain hands-on experience in a supportive and nurturing environment. We can help you expand your clinical knowledge and expertise while contributing to the delivery of high-quality podiatric care. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in diagnosing, treating, and preventing foot and lower limb conditions, all while making a meaningful impact on patients' lives.
Experienced podiatrist can look forward to working dynamically within a friendly team, across all aspects of podiatry. The role would involve independent and team working in both primary and secondary care.
Main Responsibility
As a Podiatrist you will:
- Assessing and diagnosing foot and lower limb conditions in patients of all age groups.
- Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans based on clinical assessments.
- Providing podiatric care, including wound care, biomechanical assessments, orthotic prescription, and nail surgeries.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Contributing to patient education programs and promoting preventive foot care practices.
- Participating in professional development opportunities and training programs to enhance clinical skills.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Adhering to all relevant healthcare policies, procedures, and standards.
The Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will:
- Bachelor's degree in Podiatry or related field.
- Registration with the relevant professional body and eligibility to work as a Podiatrist.
- Previous experience in a clinical or internship setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong passion for podiatry and a desire to learn and develop as a professional.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centred care and ethical practice.
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when required.
- A proactive and positive attitude towards continuous learning and professional growth
Travel to our RUH, Paulton and Keynsham Clinics may be expected.
