Job Introduction

As  the Matron of  DATC you’ll be working as part of the community Partnership with Frimley NHS system in Farnham.  DATC  deliver a variety of services to the local population of North East Hants and Surrey.

Services provided include a one stop style assessment for older adults called a Comprehensive Geriatric assessment. Our aim is to improve patient outcomes, quality of life and support with anticipatory care needs.

DATC have a multidisciplinary team that work together to provide a holistic assessment of patients needs. We work collaboratively with our partners in the wider MDT such as GPs, acute hospital services and community HCP's. We have access to a variety of diagnostic investigations.

We also provide a Palpitations pathway , offering 24 hour and 7 day ECG monitors to patients aged 18 and over. 

We are also proud to deliver a therapy lead Parkinson group and will shortly be introducing a therapy lead falls group.

Main Responsibility

As a Matron/Team lead you will lead and oversee the smooth running of the Diagnostic and Treatment Centre. 

Responsibilities will include Triaging new referrals with the Speciality Doctor. Manage the day to day running of the service as a whole. Providing clinical support to the Doctor and Nursing staff when required.  Oversee clinical governance and clinical development within the team. Liaise with other services within the wider system to ensure joined up collaborative care is provided to patients. 

You will be responsible for overseeing all auditing , health and safety and rostering. You will work alongside other Matrons and team leads within the organisation and be responsible to lead the ongoing development and service improvement with the full support of the service manager and senior leadership team. 

 

The Ideal Candidate

You will have a nursing diploma/degree and hold a valid NMC registration. Minimum 3 year post reg experience and previous community experience would be desirable , but not essential. Care of the older adult experience would be beneficial. You will need to have strong leadership skills, be a good communicator, adaptable, kind and caring.
