Job Introduction

As a Health Family Team Leader, you’ll be working as part of The Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service and leading an operational team of integrated professionals to deliver a high quality service focused on outcomes, having been commissioned by Essex County Council.

The service, which is provided by HCRG Care Group in partnership with Barnardo’s, ensures that families continue to have easy access to local services, but staff are also able to reach children and families in the community, whether in a local Family Hub, play area or in a family’s front room. This flexible and innovative way of working is about providing services without walls and ensuring those families who need support the most are easily reached.

  • Family Hubs (previously known as Children Centres)

Main Responsibility

As a Healthy Family Team Leader, you will provide overall operational management and strategic leadership of the integrated care services within the nominated teams for the Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service (Pre-birth to 19). The post holder will work with the Head of Service to ensure effective integration and support to deliver high quality and effective care.

  • The post holder will be responsible for managing a delegated team of staff. 
  • To take responsibility for the leadership, and the reporting of relevant contractual requirements, internal and external KPI’s and to raise and act on non-compliance as appropriate
  • To develop effective working relationships with the main sub-contractors Barnardo’s and to include the wider community including Education, GPs and other health, social care and voluntary sector professionals operating within the area supported by the local integrated care team
  • To participate in continued maintenance of high standards of clinical/care practice within teams

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Clinical Registered Professional who is Educated to degree level and Membership of a relevant professional body for SCPHN Health Visitor, School Nursing. You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel.
