Job Introduction

We’re looking for compassionate and motivated Band 3 Healthcare Assistants to join our friendly Gravesend Alliance Team. You’ll play an important role in supporting the delivery of care to patients in their own homes and within community settings, helping people maintain independence and wellbeing in the place they feel most comfortable.

You’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative team, working alongside community nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care.

Our base at Gravesham Community Hospital is ideally located just a short walk from St George’s Shopping Centre, surrounded by cafés, restaurants, and local amenities – making it a convenient and pleasant place to work from.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) within a team that provides care 7 days a week between 08:00 – 20:00, offering flexibility across shifts.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.

Main Responsibilities

As a valued member of the team, you will:

  • Support patients with personal care and activities of daily living in their homes or community settings

  • Assist community nurses with the delivery of high-quality patient care

  • Monitor and report changes in patients’ health and wellbeing to the wider clinical team

  • Help maintain patient dignity, comfort, and independence at all times

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of care provided

  • Contribute to creating a positive experience for patients and their families

The Ideal Candidate

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience working in a care or healthcare setting (community or hospital experience desirable)

  • Have a caring, compassionate approach and a genuine passion for supporting people in the community

  • Are comfortable using IT systems and basic Microsoft Office applications

  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Are reliable, flexible, and organised in your approach to work

  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes
