Job Introduction

We are looking for a Health Visitor to join our Health Visiting service in Bath and North-East Somerset at our Bath South base. If you are dedicated to improving health and quality for children, we would love to hear from you.

We also welcome applications from SCPHN Students who are newly qualified

You will join a team who is innovative and progressive with a focus on fostering development for all their staff with opportunities for apprenticeships and other development opportunities.

You will work with other Health Visitors, Early Years Community Practitioners, Community Nursery Nurses and report to a Clinical Team Lead to deliver Universal Children’s Services in line with the Healthy Child Programme to improve health, reduce inequalities and safeguard children & young people.

Hours are typically 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with opportunities for flexibility within this upon discussion.

Main Responsibility

As a Health Visitor you will devise and implement individualised care plans for each child based on a needs assessment, within the Healthy Child Programme, while actively involving the child / parent / carer / family in the planning and implementation of any proposed programme of care and support.

You will identify and assess health, growth and development in the 0-5 age range (0-19 Pathway) to advise and refer appropriately

You will Identify children at risk and follow B&NES safeguarding policies and procedures. As well as provide information and education in support of Childhood Immunisations.

The Ideal Candidate

We also welcome applications from SCPHN Students who are newly qualified. 

You will be a registered Health Visitor (RHV) and hold NMC registration.

You will also hold a Valid UK Driver’s License and have ready daily access to a car in order to carry out the duties of the post.
