We are looking for a someone to join us on a part time basis working 22.5 hours across the week at our Chew Medical Practice location.

Main Responsibility

Your Role:

As a Health Visitor, you will be at the forefront of providing essential healthcare services and promoting wellness. Your mission will involve:

1. Supporting Families: You will conduct home visits to offer expert advice and support to families, providing guidance on health, child development, and parenting skills. Your caring approach will be invaluable as you assist new parents with breastfeeding and infant care.

2. Community Health Promotion: Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, you will organize and participate in community health promotion programs. Your passion for public health will shine as you work to improve the well-being of individuals across the region.

3. Identifying Health Needs: Your keen observation skills will help you identify health inequalities and specific needs within the community. You will play a pivotal role in implementing strategies for improvement and making a lasting impact.

4. Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration: Working closely with healthcare professionals and support agencies, you will ensure a holistic and comprehensive approach to client care. Your teamwork will strengthen our ability to deliver exceptional services.

The Ideal Candidate

What We're Looking For:

Compassionate Care: Your genuine empathy and compassion will form the foundation of the care you provide to families and individuals.

Specialist Skills: Possession of an SCPHN qualification is essential as well as a nursing degree and registration with NMC.

Driving and Mobility: A valid driving license and access to a car are necessary to reach families in various locations across the region.

Effective Communication: Your excellent communication skills will be instrumental in building strong connections with families and multi-disciplinary teams.

Holistic Approach: Your understanding of the importance of holistic care will drive you to address both physical and emotional needs.

Package Description

As a Health Visitor, you’ll be part of our valued of Health Visiting Service team at Chew Valley receiving:
