A great opportunity has arisen to join us as a Health Care Assistant at St. Martin's Hospital in Bath!
You will join a welcoming multidisciplinary team on our Sulis ward, where our services run 7 days per week. We have the opportunity to offer full time and part time positions to help with the flexibility of hours to suit you!
We provide general medical and stroke rehabilitation for those stepping down form the acute trusts; as well as supporting our primary care colleagues with admission avoidance and stepping up from the community.
Main Responsibility
Your days will be rewarding and varied; working across our inpatient ward you will be part of a team who are passionate about the rehabilitation of their patients and always strive to ensure they regain as much independence as possible.
Your primary purpose is to carry out routine care and health tasks which will be set out in agreed care plans, or work plans or as directed by registered colleagues. You will also, when trained, contribute to care plans, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
The Ideal Candidate
- You will be passionate about working in healthcare and able to work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team.
- You will support the nursing staff in delivering a high standard of patient care, displaying strong communication and organisation skills at all times.
- Previous experience in a health or social care setting is desirable but not essential.
- You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
