Job Introduction

We are looking for a HR Specialist to join our friendly and supportive team.

Operose Health are looking for a HR Specialist for 37.5 hours per week.

This will be a hybrid role and will be three days based at home and two days based within the Runcorn office.

 

Main Responsibility

Key duties will include:

  • Deliver high quality, proactive and timely HR advice and support as required which meets the needs of the businesses. 
  • Develop close and trusted working relationships with colleagues and senior managers across the businesses.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of developments in Employment Law, Case Law and HR best practice, recommending changes to processes and policies in line with changes.
  • Provide virtual HR support as appropriate to managers in respect of HR processes and procedures
  • Provide an onsite presence as required and as appropriate.
  • Oversee an allocated ER caseload.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee relations case, progress and outcomes, reporting on Key Performance Indicators within the HR team and to relevant managers.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers in respect of reward and benefits as applicable.
  • Provide line management and support to the HR Coordinator(s) in all matters relating to employee lifecycle activities and first line policy guidance  as required.
  • Provide oversight and assistance to the HR Coordinators in respect of ongoing development and learning.
  • Work closely with the Lead HR Specialist to develop knowledge and skills in respect of high level operational matters, taking in to account any underpinning strategies.
  • Support with project work across the organization as required.
  • Partner with the operations function to develop understanding and knowledge of the key operational factors which influence day to day operational decision making.
  • Lead on the development and delivery of manager training sessions as required.
  • Identify areas for personal development and promote self-learning within the scope of the role.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to and actively promote self-service use of them by Line Managers. 
  • Actively participate in and support employee engagement activities and initiatives such as the employee survey as required.
  • Undergo any training and development relevant to the satisfactory performance of the job as required.   
  • Any other duties as required by the HR Department for which the post holder has the necessary experience and/or training.

The Ideal Candidate

Interested? What you will need to be considered:

  • Previous experience in HR.
  • Previous experience within healthcare is welcomed, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Proficient in the use of HR systems and MS software.
  • Must be able to work within policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work within a team and wider colleagues.
  • Willingness to learn with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment.
