Facilities and Property Manager

Job Introduction

We are on the lookout for a Facilities and Property Manager to join our Facilities Services Team across HCRG Care Group’s South-West service locations!

This is a hybrid role where you will have the chance to provide high quality and timely support to our clinical and non-clinical community service delivery locations. You will support the delivery of the organisations and System’s Green plan and Sustainability objectives across the estate.

This role involves managing key liaison with NHS Property Services to ensure our core Clinical estate is appropriately maintained and able to provide a comfortable and safe environment for inpatients and out-patients. While there are no direct line management responsibilities, you will act as a middle management line between the Head of Estates and various Facilities Service Managers to support the effective delivery of facility services.

This is a permanent, full-time role for 37.5 hours a week where you will work Monday to Friday. While the hours are typically between 9-5pm, there is some flexibility needed to support challenges when they arise. Your base will be at St. Martin’s Hospital in Bath however this is a hybrid role that is a balance between home working on occasion and site visits to our South-West services.

Main Responsibility

  • Deliver key Facilities and Property Management Services across our estate.
  • Maintain effective relationships with contractors ensuring capacity is available in response to any reactive works and successful completion of, to mitigate and minimise service disruption.
  • Ensure that all accommodation meets health & safety requirements in conjunction with our Quality & Safety teams, and that they remain compliant with all current legislation.
  • Management of the FM Service Desk platform to optimise speed of service response, communication, and required actions through to successful completion.

The Ideal Candidate

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in Facilities Management
  • Working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work act.
  • Experience of budget management.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building.
  • Procurement & negotiation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
