HCRG Care Group are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist who shares our vision for high-quality, person-centred care for adults with a learning disability in Wiltshire.
You will join a supportive and established team of two Consultant Psychiatrists, working closely with the local Community Learning Disability Team, which includes Psychology and an Intensive Support Service for people with learning disabilities. Together, the team provides specialist psychiatric input across Wiltshire, contributing to safe, effective, and compassionate care.
You will become part of the wider Learning Disability Consultant network, a highly supportive group that meets monthly to focus on service development and continuous improvement and twice monthly for academic meetings and shared learning
The post also benefits from strong connections with local generic psychiatry networks, promoting collaboration and professional growth.

Main Duties
The post holder will provide clinical leadership and psychiatric input to adults with a learning disability living in the West Wiltshire location.
There will be a requirement to liaise with and provide advice to inpatient mental health services and a specialist LDA unit.
You will work closely with the Local Authority and ICS partners, ensuring liaison and collaborative working, as well as the delivery of evidence based and effective treatment.

The Ideal Candidate
- Registered professional with current registration (GMC)
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months of gaining CCT
- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
- Knowledge and evidence of participation in CPD
- Evidence of effective multidisciplinary team involvement
- To possess leadership skills and be able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
