Job Introduction
Working closely with our Community Nursing Team, as a Community Phlebotomist you will support and assist the team by visiting patients in their own homes to complete blood tests requested by the referrer, to manage the healthcare needs of housebound patients.
Main Responsibility
Within this role, you will:
- Visit housebound patients within their own homes to complete blood tests.
- To maintain knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to deliver a quality service that is responsive to the changing needs of patients.
- To deliver care in accordance with organisation policies, procedures and guidelines, according to competencies, as delegated by the Senior Sister/Team Sister
- To report any changes in condition of the patient to the Senior Sister/Team Sister or in their absence the designated nurse in charge of the caseload.

This is an opportunity to join a community team providing a high standard of care and services to housebound patients. With strong communication and organisation skills, and a flexible approach will ensure you deliver positive experiences to patients at every stage of their healthcare journey.
In this role, you will need to be able drive and have access in your own car, allowing you to travel across our services in a timely manner.
You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
