Community Nurse - Band 6

Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Community Nurse to join our Bath North District Nursing service which is based at our Riverside Health Centre location. 

You will join a friendly team who are very outgoing and sociable, which makes being just a few minutes’ walk form the centre of Bath a great combination. The team are also flexible and family friendly where everyone's individualised cases are considered to help manage work-life balance where possible. You will also receive a parking permit to enable you to visit patients in Bath.

This is a Full-time vacancy (Part-time may be considered). Service hours typically being 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday, weekends are also required to be  covered, staff are currently working one in every 5 weekends.

Main Responsibility

As a Band 6 Community Nurse for the Bath North team, you will visit patients living in the North of Bath and outlying villages.

To complete the duties of the role a Driver’s license and access to a car is necessary.

As a Community Nurse you will:  

  • Manage the district nursing team
  • Plan day to day care and problem solving for the team
  • Influence changes to clinical practice and be a role model. 
  • Care and support housebound service users in their own homes to promote well-being and independence

The Ideal Candidate

You will:

  • Be an NMC/1st level registered Nurse
  • Have a full UK driving license with access to a car for work purposes.
  • At least 3 years experience working as a community nurse 
  • Leadership experience/ Management expeirence 
  • Have strong communication and organisation skills and a flexible
