Are you an experienced Public Health Nursing Leader ready to take the next step in your career? HCRG Care Group is looking for a skilled and inspiring Public Health Nursing Team Leader to join our fantastic team.
The Public Health Team Leader will provide professional, managerial, and clinical leadership for the Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) 0-19 Public Health Nursing Service with a focus on achievement of positive outcomes for children and families. They will support the Service Manager to deliver efficient services that meet or exceed required quality standards across the Public Health 0-19 (25) Team.
Base: The Team Lead Post is based at one of the locality team locations:
- St Martin’s Hospital
- Keynsham Children’s Centre
- First Steps, Twerton
- Paulton Hospital
Main Responsibilities:
- Direct line management and clinical supervision for Specialist Public Health Nurses with in the integrated 0 – 19 Public Health Teams.
- Oversee the supervision and line management of the skill mix team.
- Complete and oversee the completion of annual appraisals and personal development plans, monitor and complete actions to support service and corporate objectives.
- Ensure full team compliance with statutory and mandatory training. Identify training needs and facilitate provision of any training and updates identified.

The ideal candidate will have -
Essential:
- A sound understanding of Key performance indicators.
- A sound understanding the Healthy Child Programme and relevant key National documents/guidance.
- Demonstrate extensive and advanced clinical experience and leadership.
- Sound knowledge of both local and national policies relating to better outcomes for children and families.
- Substantial post registration experience in a leadership role for 0-19 PHN Nursing.
- Full driving licence and access to vehicle use.
- IT literate and Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Registered SCPHN
Desirable:
- Experience and evidence of developing practice.
- Experience of working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Education / teaching qualification.
- A recognised leadership qualification
Other Requirements:
- The applicant needs to hold a current UK driving licence and use of a car.
- Minimum 2 Years Specialist Public Health Nursing qualification experience.
