About the Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled and confident Physiotherapist to take on a senior clinical and leadership position within our Urgent Care Response and Intermediate Care Teams. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day team operations, caseload oversight, staff support, and the delivery of expert rehabilitation for patients with complex needs.
This role offers a balance of advanced clinical work, service improvement, and professional leadership — perfect for someone ready to step up or already working at senior level.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll lead the physiotherapy function across both services, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care. This includes:
- Providing specialist assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation for complex cases
- Overseeing physiotherapy staff, caseloads, and resources
- Supporting and deputising for senior managers as required
- Contributing to service development, clinical standards, and evidence-based practice
- Supporting and developing colleagues through supervision, mentoring, and training
- Ensuring compliance with documentation, governance, audit and CQC requirements
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Physiotherapy degree and HCPC registration
- CSP membership
- Experience in Urgent Care Response and/or Intermediate Care
- Strong clinical experience working with complex rehabilitation and Older Adults
- Experience supporting or supervising junior staff
- Excellent communication, organisation, and clinical reasoning
- Confident with IT systems and digital documentation
- Committed to professional development and evidence-based practice
Desirable
- MSc in management/leadership (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in service development or policy implementation
- Experience delivering training or presenting at conferences
