Job Introduction
Join our fantastic Dermatology team as a Skin Cancer Nurse Specialist within our North and North East Lincolnshire service. This is an exciting new post within our growing dermatology service. With incidence of skin cancers increasing over the entire country and within our region, we are looking to develop this new post within the service. In line with the British Association of Dermatologists, NICE and the British Dermatological Nursing Group guidelines we are looking for a person who is willing to go the extra mile for their patients.
You will be working closely with our the Surgical Lead Nurse and Dermatology Lead Nurse, along with our MDT Coordinator.
We hold clinics at the Ironstone Medical Centre, Scunthorpe, Cromwell Medical Centre, Grimsby, and Freshney Green Medical Centre, Grimsby. We are all expected to work across all three sites as required.
Our service runs: Monday to Friday
Main Responsibility
Your days will be rewarding and fulfilling and some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Attending the weekly Skin MDT meetings
• Meeting patients to discuss their diagnosis and attending appointments with the dermatology consultants for more serious diagnosis
• To provide emotional support to patients throughout their time in our care
• Post operative wound care as required
• Pre-operative assessments as required

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be NMC registered and have experience of working with cancer patients and who is willing to work across all sites. You must be an excellent team player, with written and verbal skills.
