Job Introduction
We are looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our West Essex Team. £48,526 - £54,619 Band 8a salary dependent on experience with NHS Pension and full Agenda for Change terms and conditions
The position is a fixed term position for 12 months with the flexibility to negotiate your contracted hours to suit your personal commitments.

You will be a qualified specialist clinical psychologist with experience of working within specialist paediatric social communication disorders services. This includes the psychological assessment and management of children and young people presenting with Autism Spectrum Conditions as part of our JADES (Journey of Autism Diagnosis and Early Support) Pathway.
You will contribute to the service evaluation and development will also form part of the role.
You will be based at one of our Family Hubs within West Essex (Harlow, Epping & Uttlesford).
Main Responsibility
As a Clinical Psychologist, you’ll work closely with our multi-disciplinary JADES team which includes a Senior Clinical Psychologist, Community Paediatricians, Specialist Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapist, Specialist Neurodevelopmental Nurse and ADHD Nurse along with other dedicated staff as part of our innovative Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service. You will benefit from the support of friendly and inclusive colleagues and access regular supervision and team meetings.
You’ll provide psychological assessments of children and young people referred to the service for Autism diagnosis, based upon data from a variety of formal and informal sources, including ADOS and semi-structured interviews, such as 3Di. You will work in our Child Development Centre as well as our Family Hubs and educational settings when required. You’ll care for service users and their families in the way that you believe is best, delivering our high service standards, sharing best practice and actively improving the way we work.

You’ll have the opportunity to join your clinical specialism, networking with professionals from across the country and sharing standard methodology for innovation and service re-design. You’ll be a part of the pool of subject matter experts bringing together clinical and operational leads. You will be a part of quality improvements, research and development activity. The Ideal Candidate
You will have Post-graduate doctorate in clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS, or fully completed training as a Counselling Psychologist. You will have experience of psychological assessment and management of children and young people presenting with Autism & social communication disorders.
You will have registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council as Practitioner Psychologist.
