Job Introduction
We are looking for a Band 7 Podiatrist to join our friendly team, covering Ormskirk, Skelmersdale, Burscough and Tarleton. We offer flexible hours, along with the chance to work from home to complete management/leadership tasks and admin tasks.
Joining us as a Podiatrist, you will be offered NHS AfC Terms and Conditions. We also offer visa sponsorship for soon to qualify international students and international applications.
You will provide day-to-day operational leadership to the Podiatry team. Managing operational tasks including workload allocation, performance, absence, annual leave, appraisals, and any other colleague-related issues which may arise.
Main Responsibility
As a Band 7 Podiatrist, you will:
- Support the triage, prioritisation, and allocation of patients to suitably qualified clinicians
- Acts as a lead clinician demonstrating a high level of knowledge, competence and the highest professional and personal standards.
- Have responsibility for day-to-day service management activities as well as holding a caseload of complex Podiatry patients
- promote health and reduce inequalities for individuals, families, and communities, optimise opportunities for health promotion and health education to enable patients to maximise their potential in terms of health and social wellbeing.
- Work closely with the Head of Therapies, to develop the Podiatry service, monitor and manage performance and quality, ensuring open and honest communication for the benefit of the service.

The Ideal Candidate
You will have a Professional Degree or equivalent in Podiatry and current Professional Registration with HCPC Podiatrist. Along with, evidence of continued professional development.
As you will be expected to visit patients in the community- so a driving license and access to a car is an essential requirement for this post
