Band 5 Rotational Occupational Therapist

Job Introduction

Make a meaningful difference to people’s lives while rapidly developing your clinical expertise.

HCRG Care Group is offering a rare opportunity to join a specialist Occupational Therapy rotation designed to strengthen your core skills while expanding your specialist knowledge across highly impactful services. This unique programme spans the Falls and Parkinson’s Clinic, the Community Neuro and Stroke Service’s Early Supported Discharge team, and the St Martin’s Hospital ward, with each placement lasting nine months to provide the depth and continuity needed for real professional growth.

Working across these services, you will play a central role in delivering evidence-based, multidisciplinary rehabilitation to individuals across Bath and North East Somerset. Some services operate seven days a week, including bank holidays, and interventions may take place in clinic settings, on the ward, or within patients’ homes. This provides a rich variety of clinical experiences and the opportunity to support people at different stages of their rehabilitation journey.

You will collaborate closely with a wide network of professionals, including social care colleagues, specialist wheelchair and seating services, and community and voluntary organisations, allowing you to contribute to truly holistic and person‑centred care. Every rotation benefits from a strong supervisory structure, with regular team meetings held at St Martin’s Hospital and a clear commitment to continuing professional development. Staff working in community settings also have access to remote working, supporting flexibility and effective service delivery.

This role offers a compelling pathway for Occupational Therapists who want to broaden their practice, gain specialist experience, and build a rewarding and well‑rounded career within a supportive and forward‑thinking service.
