We are looking for a dedicated Sexual Health Administrator to join our multidisciplinary team in Coventry, providing high-quality, confidential and non-judgemental support to people accessing our services.
You will play an important role in helping our clinics run smoothly, supporting patients from their first contact through to the completion of their appointment and working closely with clinical colleagues to deliver an excellent patient experience.
Package Description
You will join a dedicated administrative team working closely with clinical and managerial colleagues across the Sexual Health Service. The team is collaborative, professional and patient-focused, supporting one another to deliver a safe, efficient and welcoming service.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.

Main Responsibilities
You will provide a high-quality reception and administrative service to support the day-to-day running of the Coventry Sexual Health Service.
Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable and respected
Booking and registering appointments
Managing telephone and face-to-face enquiries in a professional and sensitive manner
Using electronic patient systems to record and update information accurately
Supporting the effective use of clinic appointments and capacity
Producing letters and carrying out general administrative duties
Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
Recording accurate messages and passing them promptly to the appropriate clinical colleague
Booking interpreters when required
Maintaining a safe, confidential and well-organised reception environment
Working collaboratively with clinical, administrative and managerial colleagues
Following agreed procedures and escalating enquiries or concerns appropriately
Because of the nature of sexual health services, you must be able to communicate sensitively, maintain strict confidentiality and provide non-judgemental support to everyone accessing the service.

What we are looking for
Essential
GCSE-level education, or equivalent, in Maths and English
Experience in an administrative, reception or customer-facing role
Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to organise and prioritise your workload
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A professional, mature and non-judgemental approach when dealing with sensitive sexual health matters
Ability to work within agreed procedures, use initiative appropriately and seek guidance when required
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Understanding of confidentiality and the importance of accurate record-keeping
Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging or distressing situations
Flexibility and willingness to respond to changing service needs
Desirable
Previous experience within sexual health, primary care or another healthcare setting
Experience using electronic patient-record systems
