As an Additional needs Early Intervention Coordinator (ANEIC) within ECFWS you’ll join a team who are focused on clinical excellence and who have received a “Good” CQC rating.
We are currently looking for a non- registered practitioner to join our South Quadrant to work with children 0-5 years old, that are not reaching a good level of development, who require early intervention in a coordinated approach to managing and support these children within the wider system, to maximise their potential . You will be offering early intervention to identified children and be key in the coordination of a seamless multiagency approach care package.
Main Responsibility
As the Additional Needs Early Intervention Coordinator, your main responsibilities will be the single point of access for families on the additional need’s caseload, providing parents/carers with information about what support is available, and signpost where required. This may include addressing enquiries including complaints and compliments.
Working with families to support them to understand their child’s needs and how to access early support, ensuring and/or providing Tier 1 early intervention whilst referring and following up specialist services if required. You will navigate families along their pathway journey, both within ECFWS and with external partners, providing the key link for children, to ensure that consistency of support and information is embedded across the wider system.
You will be responsible for responding to the identification of those whose welfare may be at risk, and to ensure safeguarding concerns are raised in a timely manner and in partnership with the caseload holder. As discussed in liaison with the caseload holders, identify and support if required, the coordination of a Team around the Family (TAF) meeting to assist in the development of an early help plan and information gathering from other partners.
Furthermore, you will be an active member of the ECFWS SEND Steering Group, to enable dissemination of information and sharing of learning. This may include the extraction and reporting of qualitative and quantitative data to develop an evaluation framework to measure impact and service user experience .
The Ideal Candidate
You will hold a minimum Level NVQ certificate relating to Health and Social care and be able to demonstrate an awareness of the factors impacting on children with additional needs. We require the candidate to have experience of supporting or working with children and families with additional needs, with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. We would need the candidate to demonstrate experience of partnership working within a wider system, commitment to promote and safeguard the welfare of the child, and a good understanding of child development.
You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.

You will be working within Pre-Birth to 19 Healthy Family Teams, consisting of Health Visitors, School Nurses, Healthy Family Support Practitioners, Healthy Family Support Assistants, Community Engagement team and Healthy Schools Engagement Workers.
