As a Support Worker within our learning disability services, you will receive a £1000 Welcome Bonus and be offered competitive enhanced out of hour rates up to £16.15 an hour. 

Our service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you have the flexibility to work hours that suit you. We also offer you every other weekend off so you do not miss out on family and home commitments. 

As this is a community role, a UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential. 

Main Responsibility

You will be based primarily in Radstock but the role include travelling to service users homes who live in the Bath and North East Somerset area. 

You will be making a difference to the lives of people within your community by providing:

  • Support service users in a person centred way with their assessed needs; this could include shopping, cleaning, budgeting, personal care.
  • Be a key worker and lead on ensuring support plans and risk assessments are up to date.
  • Provide personal care to service users in a sensitive and dignified manner.
  • To administer and offer medication in accordance to the HRCG Care Group Medication Policy.

The Ideal Candidate

You will be passionate about making a difference to service users within your community who have learning disabilities. You will be a naturally empathetic individual who can easily develop relationships and be able to deliver the highest level of support by developing each individuals independance.

Prior experience of working within a care setting will be highly regarded
