We are looking for a committed and motivated clinicians to join our Urgent Care Services in Ormskirk and Skelmersdale on a full time or part time basis with a blend of either long or short working days to ensure a comfortable work life balance.

Main Responsibility

  • Undertake expert assessment and management of patients in a timely manner, actively contributing to effective delivery of the service based on demand.
  • To perform a variety of screening procedures and diagnostic tests as required or deemed necessary during assessment.
  • Prioritise cases and intervene appropriately in urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency resuscitation.·      
  • Ensure all practice is safe and effective and remains within the boundaries of competence of individuals and to acknowledge limitations

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have or be willing to work towards a level 7 in clinical examination. A  non medical prescribing V300 is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.

Experience in an Urgent Care/Primary Care or similar setting is essential as well as the ability to travel across both sites.

You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
