Job Introduction

We are looking for a Lead for Quality and Patient Safety to join us on a permanent basis to support, advise and deliver a wide portfolio of functions to maintain quality across all service areas. You will be working in an environment focused on the highest clinical and quality standards with 100%of our services being rated overall “good” or “outstanding” by the Care Quality Commission. You will work in a supportive team alongside clinical leads and subject matter expects in Surrey and Luton as well as the community services working in partnership with local acute community and social care providers.

Main Responsibility

You will advise on the requirements needed to meet all quality, clinical regulatory and professional standards and support the collation and presentation of contractual clinical quality information to meet the relevant CQUINs and KPIs. Using your leadership skills, you will ensure that the quality agenda is delivered across the services consistently, thus providing assurance via the Business Unit Quality & Governance Committee that services are consistently being provided safely and effectively.

We have built organisation-wide committees in many specialist fields. You’ll have the option to join your clinical specialism, networking with professionals from across the country. We get together regularly, auditing and sharing standard methodology for innovation and service re-design. You’ll be a part of the pool of subject matter experts bringing together clinical and operational leads. You will be a part of quality improvements, research and development activity. The Ideal Candidate

You will be a registered professional from ideally either a Nurse, Therapist or Paramedic background with a relevant clinical qualification. You will have a minimum of 5 years’ post registration experience working in a health or social care environment and be able to demonstrate your leadership experience which includes oversight of quality, governance and safety of healthcare services. A proven ability to influence and drive change and improvement with senior leaders is also a requirement.

You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
