Bank Support Worker

Job Introduction

As an Immunisation Support Worker, you will be offered £10.21 per hour and be able to commit to a minimum of 1 shift per week, between Monday - Friday. We have variable hours available, with a start time from 7.30am and shifts to suit your circumstances. 

You will be based from St Martin's Hospital, covering Bath and surrounding areas so a valid UK driving licence is essential. 

We provide a service delivering a School based Immunisation programme as directed by NHS England. We are looking to expand each of the locality teams in preparation for the Autumn Term.

 

 

Main Responsibility

Your days will be busy and outcome driven and include but not be limited to: 

  • Supporting the nursing team during immunisation sessions based at schools and clinics.
  • Assist with the collection of equipment and vaccines.
  • Provide administrative or recovery area support at immunisation sessions. Checking children in, accurately recording an outcome for all children due to attend the session.
  • Liaise with school and lead nurse regarding throughput of children.
  • Assisting Lead nurse with completion of all session paperwork.

 

The Ideal Candidate

You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to talk and engage with children of all ages, with an understanding of the importance of immunisations for school aged children.

Due to the flexibility of the role, organisation skills and an attention to detail is required. As travel is necessary, a valid UK driving licence is essential.
