Main Responsibility

Working within the busy Rapid Response & Intermediate Care Service, you will be providing a wide range of administrative duties supporting the Clinical Team and reporting to the Admin Team Lead. You will also be responsible for answering calls that come into the Service and will need to be courteous and understand the complexities of confidentiality. You will be based primarily at Sheppey Community Hospital; however, you may be required to travel to our other sites in Dartford, Gravesend or Sittingbourne to cover absences

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience as an administrator within a customer care, healthcare or social care setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Accurate and efficient IT and keyboard skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a wide variety of colleagues and service users, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work with discretion, sensitivity and maintain confidentiality.
  • Good planning and organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload within a busy environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and flexibly across other teams to meet the needs of the service.
  • Responsive attitude to delegation of tasks.
  • Punctual, cheerful, reliable and dependable.
  • Accurate minute/note taking.

As an Administrator to the Sheppey Community Nursing Team, you will be a valued part of the team.

  • Base: Sheppey Community Hospital
  • Salary: £21,776
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:00 (full-time)
